Students learn how to understand and write different poetic forms from the level of the verse rhythm (dactylic hexameter, alexandrin, iambic pentameter) over different stanzas to complex forms, such as sonnet, sestina, ghazal etc. The highest step in the framework of this program is the animation of students to write their own poems. This dimension depends on their personal motivation and on the study profile:
1) practical writing skills should help the students studying exclusively Comparative Literature to deepen and widen their knowledge in literary history and theory;
2) the intense course in different writing technics should help the students enrolling to the Creative Writing program because of their own artistic motivation to find their own and personal poetic voice;
3) the aim in the pedagogical profile is to learn techniques which will later help them to animate their students and pupils in schools where they will teach, and to open a creative space for beginners.

This program gives an insight into the history of poetic forms and procedures.

One of its most important goals is to encourage the students' capacity for self-reflection and critical evaluation of their own work.
