The course is divided into two units:
a) German Grammar 3
b) German Language Practice 2
a) German Grammar 3
Students will gain familiarity with the syntax of the German language. The course will focus on classification of sentences according to different criteria (Satz: Satztyp, Satzform, Satzart), word order in the German sentence (Vorfeld, Nachfeld, Rahmenkonstruktion, Ausrahmung) and overview of subordinate clauses. Special emphasis will be placed on the relationship between the structure, meaning and function, as well as a comparison with Slovene, whereby students will be encouraged to develop effective translation strategies
b) German Language Practice 2:
- practicing grammatical structures within the scope of various texts;
- the most common mistakes in language learning;
- various themes from various sources and authentic texts ;
- practicing the grammatical structures mentioned above (see German Grammar 2) in various texts.
- Special emphasis will be placed on speaking, reading and listening skills as well as on general and specialized vocabulary building, collocations etc.
